Formulated with 20% Zinc Oxide, it is ideal for all skin types, even sensitive, rosacea-prone or breakout-prone skin, as it moisturizes to leave a soft, even finish.

The unique formula of CōTZ sunscreens sets them apart from chemical sunscreens. While chemical sunscreens work by absorbing UVA-UVB energy on or in the skin and converting it to heat, mineral sunscreens containing Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide work by reflecting harmful UVA-UVB rays away from the skin, like millions of tiny mirrors.

Established in 2002 by a plastic surgeon, CōTZ's mission was to create healthier mineral sunscreens that people would want to wear daily. The result is an all-mineral sunscreen collection that feels elegant while keeping skin safe from harmful rays. CōTZ products contain no chemical sunscreen filters, which can be irritating, penetrate the skin, and absorb UV energy.

The sheer tint in CōTZ Flawless Complexion SPF 50 Tinted is derived from Iron Oxide, a natural mineral ingredient. CōTZ's non-tinted products also leave a soft, natural finish without a pale white cast. Additionally, CōTZ sunscreens have been tested and found to be free of benzene.

CōTZ sunscreens are safe to use with tattoos, as they reflect UV light away rather than absorbing it into the ink. It is recommended to wait until a new tattoo has fully healed before applying sunscreen.

Compared to other CōTZ mineral sunscreens, Flawless Complexion SPF 50 Tinted offers a soft finish, while Prime & Protect SPF 40 has a matte finish, and Sensitive SPF 40 is formulated for sensitive skin. CōTZ Baby SPF 40 and Silky Foam NT SPF 30 are also available, along with a CōTZ Lip Balm SPF 45.
